About Annette
International tantric facilitator, counsellor, coach and author, Annette Baulch, supports women from all backgrounds to find their voices, their power and their self-love. She does this by supporting their exploration of themselves, their relationship and their sexual selves and what all this means.
Annette works with women both separately, and in their relationships in 1:1 sessions, both online and face2face in the Ballarat area.
She is passionate in supporting women and men to find self-acceptance and to maintain their individuality whilst discovering the joys of togetherness in relationship.
A lifetime of exploration in this area has culminated in the launch of her flagship book ‘Coming Together’.
Background
Annette began life in a small town in rural Victoria, Australia. As a shy child, she developed chronic insecurity, an eating disorder, a long-standing back condition and a continual ‘voice of criticism’ in her head. She began her working life by desiring to help others which led to 27 years in nursing.
This included five years with Holistic Health Practitioner Dr Jo Horwood in Horsham, where she began to understand the value of cultivating wellness, rather than simply treating illness.
She then chose to train in emotional mastery and breathwork for several years with Nicholas De Castella in Melbourne at the Institute of Heart Intelligence.
After nursing and prior to Oztantra, Annette operated her own breathwork practice, supporting her clients to ‘breathe their way to freedom’ and ran ‘celebrating the feminine’ workshops tailored specifically for women.
From Shy to Shining Self-Acceptance
Since discovering tantra in the second half of her life Annette has enjoyed her own extensive personal journey of exploring sexuality, its taboos, pleasures and awakenings.
She explored the ins and outs of relationship in ways she’d never known before as she manifested similar challenges in her second relationship (with Graeme) that she had already been through in her previous marriage. The relationships themselves were very different, but she could identify her own patterns re-emerging. Why was this?
This led her to believe that what she was manifesting must be coming from within herself, rather than just through her relationships.
“I see my journey into selfhood as a journey into my heart. I delved into my vulnerability, into my own surrender and into love as a tangible, powerful, life and relationship sustaining force. I learned personally, that this is where my bliss lives. Through pleasure, orgasm, beyond limitation and need. Where women and women, and men and women can meet beyond separation.”
This belief has become a foundational aspect of her work, one that has led her deep into her own truth.
Motivating her to look intimately deeper into finding out who she was, she learned that accepting her sexual self and healing her sexual shame has been central to her full self-acceptance.
“For any of you who may be considering sexual healing any for your sexual shame, which I believe we all carry at some level, then take heart and dive in. Your journey will be different to mine, but I assure you, if you persist you will find that it is worth it.” – Annette Baulch

The Love of Working with Couples
Annette loves working with Graeme and with relationship counselling and sex therapy for couples with a tantric flavour. The intimacy that she sees strengthened and the relationships that begin to thrive again inspire her every day.
The book that they have co-authored, ‘Coming Together’ has bridged a gap for clients who are not quite ready for a face to face discussion but are comfortable reading in their private time and space.
